Total amount of garage floor flake needed for a floor will be determined by a number of factors. For example, a full broadcast floor will require the most chips as it covers the entire floor in flakes.

Additionally, the floor coating you broadcast into may affect the amount of chips needed and that get drawn into the floor coating. Other manufacturers often sell chips that have a heavier weight, and you would be required to order more pounds of chips if using flakes from those manufacturers.
The advantages of flake epoxy garage floors are numerous. The number of colors available makes flake floors a huge advantage of a standard one-color floor that you may have 8-12 color choices possibly. Texture and slip resistance is likely the biggest advantage if installed well. Caution should be taken to ensure the floor is not too dry and slip resistant additives should not be needed for garage applications with a good topcoat application.
